Motorola – Football is Calling Competition

The promoter of the competition is Ackermans, a division of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd and Motorola ("the Promoters"). 

The name of the competition is “Motorola - Football is Calling” competition ("the Competition"). 

The Competition will run from 15 May 2026 until 30 June 2026 (both days included) on print and digital platforms ("the Competition Period"). 

By entering the Competition and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

The Competition is open to all participants within the Republic of South Africa with a valid South African ID document or South African passport or permanent residence that has a valid permanent residency permit. You are not eligible to participate in this competition if: 

You are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of Ackermans  Stores, or Motorola its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Competition; 

You are a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified above. 

For an automatic entry to the Competition, a Participant must: 

Participants who purchase any Motorola smartphone at selected Ackermans and Ackermans Connect stores and scan their digital +more Rewards card will receive a FREE FIFA World Cup 26™ Merchandise Pack (while stocks last); 

All participants will be automatically entered into a draw to stand a chance to win 1 of 6 Motorola Razr FIFA World Cup 26™ Edition devices. 

Participants who purchase a qualifying device in-store will receive an instant FIFA World Cup 26™ Merchandise Pack consisting of: 

1 x drawstring backpack; and 

1 x bucket hat. 

This offer: 

is valid while selected store FREE FIFA World Cup 26™ Merchandise Packs last; 

is only available in selected stores; 

whilst stocks last; and 

is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash or credit. 

Transactions not linked to a +more Rewards card will not qualify. 

Each valid transaction equals one (1) entry. 

Each IMEI number may only be entered once and duplicate or reused IMEIs will result in disqualification. 

Winners will be randomly selected from all valid entries. 

Winners will be contacted on the 06th July 2026. 

The Prize is not redeemable for cash and is non-transferable. 

Winners will be notified telephonically on the valid contact number provided on their +more profile. An alternative winner will be drawn if after 3 attempted telephone calls the Promoter cannot contact the initial winner. 

The randomly selected winners are final, and no further correspondence will be entered into. 

Winners need to note a waiting period of about 4 weeks from the first contact until they receive their prize to manage the logistics and administration that may be required. 

Ackermans and their delivery agent do not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this competition. 

Winners give Ackermans, and its authorized agents consent to use their names plus photo for publicity purposes unless refused. 

Ackermans reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against Ackermans and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against Ackermans. 

Your privacy is very important to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies, and it will use all reasonable efforts to ensure that any information, including personal information, provided by you, or which is collected from you, is stored in a secure manner. You agree to provide Pepkor with accurate and current information and to maintain and update such information when necessary. The information collected by Pepkor may be used to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the various companies in the Pepkor group that may be of interest or value to you. The information may also be processed by Ackermans and other companies in the Pepkor group, any of their operators, agents and sub-contractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential. 

You acknowledge that any information supplied to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies in terms of these Terms and Conditions is provided voluntarily. 

By submitting any information to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies in any form you further acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing of such information by Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies under any applicable law in the manner contemplated above, which consent shall, in the absence of any written objection received from you, be indefinite and/or for the period otherwise required in terms of any applicable law. 

Unless you have consented, Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies will not sell, exchange, transfer, rent or otherwise make available any personal information about you (such as name, address, email address, telephone or fax number) to other parties and you indemnify Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies from any unintentional disclosures of such information to unauthorized persons. 

Should you believe that Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies have utilised your personal information contrary to applicable law, you shall first resolve any concerns with Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies. If you are not satisfied with such a process, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. 

You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying Ackermans in writing or by registering a block on any registry which Ackermans is bound by law to recognise. Ackermans will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems. Ackermans will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible.
