1. How do I choose the right size for girls’ clothing?

The best way to get the right size is to measure your child instead of relying only on her age. Every child grows differently, so while our sizes are based on age ranges, using her height, chest (bust), and waist measurements will give you a better chance of finding clothes that truly fit well. Height: Measure from the top of her head to her feet while standing. Bust: Measure around the fullest part of the chest. Waist: Measure around the natural waistline, just above the belly button. Once you have the measurements, check our Ackermans size chart. This chart helps match the measurements to the correct size, so you can be sure that the clothes will fit properly and comfortably. This also avoids the hassle of having to return or exchange items.

2. Should I size up for growing girls?

Yes, especially if your child is in-between sizes or going through a growth spurt (a time when kids grow quickly over a short period). Sizing up means buying one size larger than what she currently wears. For example, if she is starting to outgrow size 6-7, choose size 7-8 instead. This gives her room to grow, which means the clothes will last longer before needing to be replaced. Sizing up is also useful for items like jackets or leggings that need to last through a full school year or change of seasons.
