1. Promoter
The promoter of the Competition is Ackermans, a division of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”).
2. Competition Name
The name of the Competition is the “Ackermans Customer Survey” competition (“the Competition”).
3. Competition Period
The Competition will run from 9 October 2026 to 23 October 2026, both days included (“the Competition Period”).
4. Acceptance of Terms
By entering the Competition and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
5. Competition Prize
The Competition prize consists of one (1) of ten (10) R100 Ackermans virtual vouchers (“the Prize”).
6. Eligibility
The Competition is open to all participants within the Republic of South Africa.
You are not eligible to participate in this Competition if:
a. You are a director, member, partner, employee or agent of the Promoter, its affiliates, divisions or subsidiaries, or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Competition.
b. You are a spouse, life partner, parent, child, sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of any of the persons listed above.
7. Entry Requirements
Entry into the Competition is free. Participants may enter only once during the Competition Period, and each entrant is eligible to win only one (1) prize.
8. Disqualification
Ackermans reserves the right to disqualify any user who enters using false information or through robotic, automated or similar means.
9. Prize Conditions
All prizes in this Competition are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.
10. Prize Delivery
The prize will be sent to the winners via SMS, using the contact number provided when completing the survey.
11. Winner Selection
The draw will take place on 26 October 2026. Winners will be selected randomly from all valid entries received through the designated entry channel.
12. Contacting Winners
Winners will be contacted between 10:00 and 15:00 on the day of the draw to arrange prize delivery.
13. Winner Announcement and Alternative Winners
The winners will be announced on the date of the draw. If a winner cannot be reached within two (2) days of the draw date, an alternative winner will be selected.
14. Publicity
Winners consent to Ackermans and its authorised agents using their names for publicity purposes, unless they expressly refuse such use.
15. Right to Amend or Terminate
Ackermans reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the Competition, any prizes or any aspect thereof, for any reason whatsoever and without notice. In such an event, you waive any rights or expectations you may have against Ackermans and acknowledge that you will have no recourse or claim of any nature against Ackermans.
16. Privacy and Security
Your privacy is very important to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies. All reasonable efforts will be made to ensure that any information, including personal information, provided by you or collected from you is stored securely. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Statement.
17. Use of Personal Information
You agree to provide Pepkor with accurate and current information and to maintain and update such information when necessary.
The information collected by Pepkor may be used to send you information about products, services and special offers from various companies within the Pepkor group that may be of interest or value to you.
The information may also be processed by Ackermans and other companies within the Pepkor group, as well as their operators, agents and subcontractors, who may be located outside South Africa, on condition that they keep such information confidential.
18. Voluntary Submission of Information
You acknowledge that any information supplied to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies in terms of these Terms and Conditions is provided voluntarily.
19. Consent to Processing of Personal Information
By submitting any information to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies in any form, you acknowledge that such conduct constitutes unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing of such information by Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies under applicable law, in the manner described above.
Unless a written objection is received from you, such consent will remain in effect indefinitely and/or for the period otherwise required under applicable law.
20. Disclosure of Personal Information
Unless you have consented, Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies will not sell, exchange, transfer, rent or otherwise make your personal information available to third parties. Personal information may include your name, address, email address, telephone number or fax number.
You indemnify Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies against any unintentional disclosure of such information to unauthorised persons.
21. Complaints Regarding Personal Information
If you believe that Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies have used your personal information contrary to applicable law, you must first attempt to resolve your concerns directly with Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies.
If you are dissatisfied with the outcome, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
22. Direct Marketing Exclusion
You may choose to opt out of direct marketing by notifying Ackermans in writing or by registering a block on any registry that Ackermans is legally required to recognise.
Ackermans will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems and will implement any requested changes as soon as reasonably possible.
