Competition Terms and Conditions

1. The promoter of the competition is Ackermans, a division of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”).

2. The name of the competition is “Win with Motorola Mobile” (“the Competition”).

3. The competition will run from 20 January 2025 to 03 February 2025 (both days included) (“the Competition Period”).

4. By entering the Competition and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

5. The Competition is open to all participants within the Republic of South Africa who are:

   • South African citizens (with a valid South African ID book or card), or

   • South African residents (with a valid permanent residency permit).
     You are not eligible to participate if:

   • You are a director, member, partner, employee, agent, or consultant of the Pepkor group of companies, its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries, or anyone supplying goods/services related to the competition.

   • You are a spouse, life partner, parent, child, sibling, or business associate of any of the above persons.

6. Customers will automatically be entered into the Competition (“Participants”) by:

   • Liking the Motorola Competition post on the Ackermans Facebook page; and

   • Commenting on the post telling us why you’d like to win the Motorola E13.

7. Entry is free and participants may enter only once.

8. Each participant may win only one prize.

9. Participants stand a chance to win one (1) of two (2) 6.5” Motorola E13 smartphones (“the Prize”).

10. Two (2) winners will be selected randomly via a computer-generated draw.

11. By accepting a prize, winners agree to these terms and conditions.

12. Ackermans reserves the right to disqualify any user who enters using false information or automated means (bots, scripts, etc.).

13. All prizes are non-transferable and not exchangeable for cash.

14. The prize draw will take place on 06 February 2025.

15. Winners will be contacted via Facebook Messenger. If a winner cannot be reached after 3 attempts within 3 business days, a new winner will be selected.

16. Ackermans and its delivery agents are not responsible for any loss, damage, or additional costs related to using or enjoying the prize.

17. Winners give Ackermans and its authorised agents consent to use their names for publicity purposes—unless they object.

18. The Promoter reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone, or cancel the competition or prizes at any time without notice.

20. You agree to provide accurate and current personal information. This data may be used to inform you about products, services, and special offers from the Pepkor group.

21. All personal information is provided voluntarily by participants.

22. By submitting your information, you give consent for it to be processed as described above. This consent will remain valid unless withdrawn in writing.

23. Unless you have consented, your personal information will not be sold, shared, or rented to third parties. The Promoter is not liable for any unintentional disclosures.

24. If you believe your information has been misused, please raise it with the Promoter. If unresolved, you may contact the Information Regulator.

25. You may opt out of direct marketing at any time by notifying the Promoter or registering a block with the relevant registry. No fee will be charged for this request.
