1. The promoters of the Competition are Ackermans and Tenacity Financial Services, divisions of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd, Ackermans Namibia (Pty) Ltd and Ackermans Botswana (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoters”), who will be jointly and individually responsible for the Competition.
2. The name of the Competition is “Shop on your Ackermans Account and Stand to Win a Share of R150 000 in credit” (“the Competition").
3. The Competition will run from 1 November 2024 to 30 November 2024 (both days included) ("the Competition Period").
4. Customers who do the following during the Competition Period, will automatically be entered into the Competition (“Participants”):
   • Non-Ackermans account holders - Open an Ackermans account and make a purchase of any value at any Ackermans store in a Participating Country on your Ackermans account;
   • Existing Ackermans account holders - Make a purchase of any value at any Ackermans store in a Participating Country on your Ackermans account;
5. The participating countries are South Africa, Namibia and Botswana (“Participating Countries”).
6. Entry is free and Participants may enter multiple times. Participants may only win one prize in this Competition irrespective of the number of entries.
7. Participants stand a chance to be one (1) of fifty (50) winners who will each receive credit to the value of R3000 allocated to their Ackermans account, converted into the respective currency of the Participating Country as per the exchange rate at midnight on the day prior to the date on which the credit allocation is made to the Participant’s Ackermans account.
8. Fifty (50) winners will be randomly selected via a computer operated draw on 4 December 2024 from Participants.
9. By accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
10. The Promoters reserves the right to exclude a Participant from this Competition or to withhold payment of a prize to a winner should the Promoters become aware that a Participant is:
    • a director, member, business partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Pepkor group of companies, its affiliates/divisions/subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Competition;
    • a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified above.
11. All prizes in this competition are non-transferable and not exchangeable for cash.
12. Winners will be notified via SMS to the cell phone number on record for their Ackermans account. The amount of R 3000.00, converted to the respective currency of the Participating Country, will be allocated to winners’ accounts
13. The Promoters and their delivery agent do not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this Competition.
14. The Promoters reserves the right to refuse the payment of a prize to any winner, regardless of the successful entry into the Competition, who it decides (in its sole discretion) has violated the terms and conditions of this Competition, or who has participated herein using suspected fraudulent means or dishonest information.
15. The Promoters reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against the Promoters and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against the Promoters.
16. Your privacy is very important to the Promoters and the Pepkor group of companies (https://www.pepkor.co.za/retail-segments/) and it will use all reasonable efforts in order to ensure that any information, including personal information, provided by you, or which is collected from you, is stored in a secure manner.
