Back to School Labelling Activation

The promoter of the activation is Ackermans, a division of Pepkor Trading (Pty) Ltd ("the Promoter"). 

The name of the activation is the “Back to School labelling activation” (“the activation”). 

The activation will run from 10 - 11 Jan 2026, ("the Activation Period"). 

It will be held at the following Ackermans stores only from 11:00 - 15:00 only 

Customers are required to shop the deal (spend R650 and save R150 on all Back to School items), then share their till slip or proof of purchase of the deal (if purchased online) to the activation staff. Once approved by the activation staff, the customer will be eligible to receive 20 personalised labels  

Customers are not limited on as to the amount of names they can provide, should they have more than one child, but they are limited to 20 labels per deal purchased 

Customers are required to provide the correct spelling of the child’s name and to check it before the activation staff print the labels. Labels will not be reprinted should the name be incorrect 

Label quantities are limited to cater for 100 customers over the 2 days only. Should we reach this quota in one day, the activation will not run for the second day 

By participating in the activation, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

The activation is open to all customers who follow the entry mechanic as stipulated. The prize in this activation is not transferable or exchangeable for cash. 

Ackermans and their activations agent do not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying or enjoying the labels in this activation. 

Entrants give Ackermans consent to use their names and photos for publicity purposes, unless refused. 

Ackermans reserve the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the activation and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against Ackermans and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against Ackermans. 

Your privacy is very important to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies and it will use all reasonable efforts in order to ensure that any information, including personal information, provided by you, or which is collected from you, is stored in a secure manner. For more information, please refer to the detailed version of our Privacy Statement. 

You agree to provide Pepkor with accurate and current information and to maintain and update such information when necessary. The information collected by Pepkor may be used to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the various companies in the Pepkor group that may be of interest or value to you. The information may also be processed by Ackermans and other companies in the Pepkor group, any of their operators, agents and subcontractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential. 

You acknowledge that any information supplied to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies in terms of these Terms and Conditions are provided voluntarily. 

By submitting any information to Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies in any form you further acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing of such information by Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies under any applicable law in the manner contemplated above, which consent shall, in the absence of any written objection received from you, be indefinite and/or for the period otherwise required in terms of any applicable law. 

Unless you have consented, Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies will not sell, exchange, transfer, rent or otherwise make available any personal information about you (such as name, address, email address, telephone or fax number) to other parties and you indemnify Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies from any unintentional disclosures of such information to unauthorized persons. 

Should you believe that Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies have utilised your personal information contrary to applicable law, you shall first resolve any concerns with Ackermans and the Pepkor group of companies. If you are not satisfied with such a process, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. 

You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying Ackermans in writing or by registering a block on any registry which Ackermans is bound by law to recognise. Ackermans will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems. Ackermans will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible.
