Shaped brows that frame your face are a beauty must, but that’s always easier said than done. Since salon visits aren’t possible during lockdown, we show you how to tame unruly brows from home!
Step 1
Brush your eyebrows upwards with a brow brush so you know where they start, arch and end. This is called mapping.
Step 2
Using a pencil, place it against the bridge of your nose. This will indicate where your brows should start.
Next, place the pencil on the outer edge of your nostril toward the outer edge of your eye. This is where the tail of your brow should end. For the arch, point the pencil to the outer edge of the pupil. Mark out your brow shape with the pencil to avoid over-plucking.
Step 3
With your tweezers in the one hand, use your other hand and stretch the skin; lifting your brow up. Tweeze from the root of the hair to avoid breaking, which can cause ingrown hairs.
Step 4
Trim, brush your brows upwards and use a nail scissors to trim and shape slightly.
Step 5
Use concealer around the brow to define and finish off.
Top brow tips
• Use two mirrors. A magnifying mirror will help you get those fine hairs while you tweeze. But keep checking your bigger mirror to make sure you’re getting the shape you want.
• Pluck a few hairs a day to maintain your shape. This will save you time and the effort of trying to redo the entire brow.
