Easy lunchbox ideas for back to school!

Try these simple but healthy lunchbox ideas to have your kids asking for more!

Add a few colourful & healthy additions to keep your kids energised and full for the whole day.

1 Add a few slices of oranges for a juicy treat

Oranges are bursting with vitamin C and will help to hydrate your kids on warm summer days.

Leave the skin on but slice the oranges into thin half circles to make it easy for little hands to hold.

2 Apple slices with peanut butter

As they say, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away’. Yummy slices of apple are sure to delight your little ones.

Peanut Butter is packed with protein to keep kids full for longer, but be sure to choose a brand with no added sugar.

3 Cubes of cucumber and pineapple

Cucumbers have an extremely high water content which is super healthy for young growing bodies. Mix cubes of cucumber & sweet pineapple for a delicious lunchbox treat. An added benefit is that pineapple contains an enzyme called bromelain, which can help to ease certain coughs.

4 Baby carrots with hummus

Kids will be delighted to dip baby carrots into the extremely enjoyable and healthy hummus dip. Hummus is made from chickpeas, which are an excellent source of protein to keep little people fuller for longer.

5 A boiled egg mashed with mayonnaise

Last but not least a healthy boiled egg mashed with a little mayonnaise, is great value for money and loaded with protein to keep tummies full.

Tip Kids love feeling grown-up. Let them help by watching them chop or peel fruit, mashing eggs or packing their lunchboxes. All you need is a blunt knife and a fork. Chances are they’ll finish their meals every time.
