Tired of your phone’s battery dying at the most inconvenient times? Try these tips to make your phone’s battery last longer.
1 LOWER SCREEN BRIGHTNESS
Go to ‘settings’, then ‘display’ and choose ‘brightness level’. Lower it to a level that works for you.
2 TURN OFF WI-FI, 3G, 4G, LTE, BLUETOOTH AND GPS
If you’re not using them turn them off. You’ll find them in ‘settings’. The GPS settings are called ‘location’.
3 SET A SHORTER SCREEN TIMEOUT
Go to ‘settings’ then ‘display’ and select ‘sleep’.
4 CLOSE APPLICATIONS
If they’re running in the background, they’ll use battery power even when you don’t use them.
5 GET A PORTABLE CHARGER
Charge your phone on the go with a powerbank.
6 USE BATTERY SAVER MODE
This helps you keep going on a low battery. The setting restricts mobile data until you charge your phone. Swipe down the status bar and click on the battery icon. Turn on ‘battery saver’.
7 DISABLE EVERYTHING YOU DON’T NEED
For example the vibrate function for notifications, switch off keyboard sounds and automatic syncing.
